Car Key Fob Repairs
Faster, Cheaper Than a New Key

Most fob problems don't need a new key. A dead battery is £25. A worn button is £40. A cracked case is £35. We come to your car, diagnose the issue honestly, and fix it on the spot — usually in under 30 minutes. Only replace if repair genuinely isn't an option.

What We Repair

Six common fob faults, all fixed at your car.

Battery Replacement

Most fob problems start with a tired battery. We carry CR2032, CR2025, CR2016 and CR1620 cells in the van and swap them in 5 minutes.

Button Repair

Worn or sticking buttons? We disassemble the fob, clean the contact pads, and replace the conductive rubber membrane. Usually a £25–£40 fix.

Case Replacement

Split fob shell? We transfer your electronics to a new case. £25–£45 depending on the fob. Saves you the cost of a whole new key.

Water Damage Recovery

Went through the wash? Pull the battery NOW and bring the fob to us. We clean the board, dry it out, and test it. Often salvageable if you act fast.

Re-syncing

Fob stopped working after a battery change? It probably needs re-syncing to the car. We do this in 10–15 minutes at your location.

Circuit Board Repair

Damaged PCB from drops or impact? We can replace individual components on the board. Far cheaper than a new fob if the damage is localised.

Frequently Asked Questions

Usually not. The most common cause of an intermittent fob is a dying battery (a £2 CR2032 cell fixes most cases), or worn button contacts inside the fob (a £15–£30 repair). We test the fob, swap the battery, and check the contacts before recommending a new key. Often a £20 fix solves what looks like a £200 problem.
