2024 Yaris Cross — All Keys Lost, New Smart Key on the Drive
A 2024 Toyota Yaris Cross in black, the owner's only smart key gone — no spare, no dealer key on the way. I drove out to their street in Scarborough, read the immobiliser through the OBD port, and cut and programmed a brand-new smart fob at the car, same day.
The newest Toyotas use a keyless proximity fob with push-button start, so there's no blade to copy at a kiosk — but there's also no need for the dealer. It's the same diagnostic programming, just a newer chip, and I carry the kit to do it.

2016 Toyota Aygo — All Keys Lost, New Key on the Drive
A black 2016 Toyota Aygo on a Scarborough residential drive, the only key lost somewhere between the front door and the kerb. The owner had been out the previous evening and didn't notice it was gone until the morning, when the car wouldn't unlock and wouldn't start.
The Aygo might be Toyota's smallest city car, but the key is a proper Toyota key — the same transponder-based immobiliser as a Yaris. I read the immobiliser through the OBD port, generated a new chip, cut a fresh blade, and paired the remote. The owner was at work by lunchtime, with a spare in their pocket.
