Every modern Ford uses PATS — Ford's Passive Anti-Theft System. It's a transponder chip inside the key that the car has to recognise before the engine will start. A new key has to be programmed to the PATS module before it will work. We carry Ford-specific kit in the van to handle PATS from the early 1990s right up to the latest Puma and Kuga.

Ford Keys vs The Dealer
A Ford main dealer will replace a lost key, but they'll book the car in for a week and charge £220–£400. We do the same work at your car, on the same day, for a fraction of the price. The keys we make are identical in function to dealer-supplied keys — same transponder, same remote functions, same central locking.
